Description: | Do you like gm_construct, but feel it lacks something? Are you looking for less raw space and more neat functions/attention to detail? gm_audacity may be just what you're looking for. gm_audacity combines the fun, small environment found in gm_construct with the sheer functionality found in some of the larger community maps. I have tried to be artistic with this map - no garish squares, plenty of rounded corners - every square unit you stand on has been lovingly detailed and optimised for fun. This map has been my on-and-off hobby for the past few years - I figured it was pretty fun, so i thought i'd share it with the community :) My aim with this map was to create a relatively small, easily negotiable space, with a large building area, and then try to fit as much as possible into that space, without cluttering it. Optimisation was also on my mind - I couldn't stand all the wasted space in gm_construct. (Think invisible floor areas around the buildings) So naturally gm_audacity is smaller, dimensions wise. However do not fear, for audacity is much more efficient with space, and actually has a much larger building space than construct. (!!!) I don't want to give away too many of the features, I feel they are best enjoyed when you find them out for yourself - but here are a few. :) *Large air hanger with even larger opening roof (you'll like this one, but I'm not going to tell you any more) *as good of a nodegraph as was possible - Hunters jump down from roofs, antlions fly across the map, combine soldiers jump off small ledges if it's quicker than walking, birds fly around, and striders wander the streets. *Missile launching room with an adjustable floor and elevator. *A beautiful clock tower, for assassinating NPC's >:D *Large, flat, open building area, with many routes to other areas. *Many, many smaller building areas, each with a different theme, various functions and doors to keep out intruders. These doors are set in such a way that there is no way they can be closed while there is no-one inside them. *large building with two intricate elevators, with a fancy penthouse. Now get out there, wander around, press some buttons and have fun! :D |
