File: Motorised Rollercoaster Car
Version: 0
Garrysmod.org URL: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=81889
Description: A specialised, thruster free, super light rollercoaster car, that contains within its body a PHX3 cog mounted on a drive wheel powered motor designed to latch and run along on pinions fitted into the centre of PHX3 XQM rollercoaster track sections. Allowing the construction and operation of thruster free gravity powered rollercoaster contraptions.

Minimum requirements:
PHX3 SVN! https://phoenix-storms.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/phoenix-storms/
It should already include the XQM coaster models.

How to adapt:
Weld the pinions (not the racks) from the Robotics and Gears category of PHX3, to the centre of rollercoaster track sections. They are ideally to be used for lift hills and booster sections.

These are found at the bottom of the spawn list and are not to be confused with the racks, which are similar but with much narrower teeth.

Attaching the car:
Using the nocollide tool, right click the track guides under the car to toggle nocollide. Position the car on the track, so that the guides interlock with the track and then unnocollide them so the car is physically attached.

You will then be able to accelerate the car along the track whenever the cog underneath the car is making contact with the pinions. The + button accelerates, and the - button reverses.

If the controls are too primitive for you and you would like to replace the drive wheels with wire wheels, then go ahead and do so, taking into consideration that you must reweld the external drive wheels to the internal wheel assembly, and a good value for wheel torque is 32000.

If the pinions are perfectly mounted on a 45 degree incline, it is possible for the car to continue climbing up it if it is allowed to roll back.
