Description: Here is another on of Dr. Keliners inventions.
It's a microwave rifle that can shoot out a concentrated beam of microwaves.

The microwave rifles original purpose was making coffee. Primary fire would warm up the water to boiling point in an instant and secondary fire would extract a perfect amount of instant coffee. But Gordon Freeman found another use for it (boiling brains).

To make the weapon fit Gordons desires Dr. Kleiner removed the instant coffee extractor and replaced it with a microwave grenade attachment.

CONTROLS

Primary fire:
The weapon will emit a concentrated beam of microwaves that will make your enemies brain boil until it explodes. The beam can also do damage to props.

Secondary fire:
Shoots our a microwave grenade. The grenade can then later be activated remotely. Once the grenade is activated it will send out a burst of microwaves in a small radius. The microwave grenade is very effective at clearing rooms. You can not have more than one grenade out at the time. Launching a microwave grenade craves a lot of energy from the microwave rifle (500 energy units). If you can't launch a grenade it's probably because the rifle doesn't have enough energy or you already have one grenade out.

Reload:
The reload button will activate the microwave grenade. The microwave grenade will self destruct if you press reload again after the grenade is activated.


Weapon description

When the microwave beam hits an NPC the head will start to swell untill it explodes. You can hear how high pressure the head has by hearing the buzzing sound from the microwave rifle pitch up (like in the movie). When the head finally explodes it will paint the walls red (or yellow if it's an alien NPC) making the environment quite unpleasant. The grenade effects NPC's in the same way, the only difference is that it has an area of effect. Electronic NPC's like DOG and the city scanner will not explode, they will short-circuit and make some zapping effects.

Weapon energy
The weapon energy works like the flashlights energy, using it will make it loose energy and not using it will make it automatically recharge.
If you use it to much it will start to overheat and smoke will come out from the barrel. The thicker the smoke is the more overheated the rifle is. When the rifle has reached it's limit it will make some noise and beep to tell it's overheated and you will have to wait until it have cooled down.The rifle will also tell you when it's fully charged by making some beeps.
