Ok, the problem with that is I have to use a pc at work and it is against company policy to install programs on our pc's here. I can download small files but cannot install programs. Is there another way to get the files neccessary??

I am not sure about the 2.2ghz a core speed by that AMD. I didn't read the whole article but I personally think the intel i7 975 processor would be better as far as gaming is concered for now. It's still taking publishers time to start using multi-core processors for gaming.
