What is this ?
xVirtualSteam is a Steam patcher, it patch steam.dll, create steam.cfg, make somes backups (Steam.dll, masterservers.vdf, ect..).
You can choose the .gcf to download, 4 GCFs (the first choice) are recommanded, a lot of games with Steam.exe, and play all games !
In the same .exe, you can unpatch your steam.exe.
It is sure ?
It's totaly sure, you can see somes virus at virustotal.com : Virustotal. MD5: 5513f81c42c4fb685a4e8ca8eeab0bf6 New Malware.ca ADSPY/AdSpy.Gen Ad-Spyware.AdSpy.Gen
But because I use urlmon.h (URLDownloadToFileA) to download the GCFs.
Prerequisites :
Hehehe, you need nothing to run this patch (it's the biggest new feature).
How to install it ?
Download and install Steam client : http://storefront.steampowered.com/download/SteamInstall.msi
Run it for checking updates.
Extract xVirtualSteam.exe to the directory where you installed Steam client.
xVirtualSteam.exe launch steam.exe for you at the end of patching.
Download your favorites games and play it
