Noobs in need of help.

You are trying to download a game from steam.... It will not work. That's why we have the GCF/NCF section.... get the games from there, copy them to your steamapps folder and play.

when i download a gcf i put it in steamapps, and when i logon, it says download starting beside it for ages... WHAT DO I DO???

in some games it says this (games like Eletronic Arts) but steam games (like gary's mod) don't

This is outdated and most likely wont work properly. Steam has begun to change a few aspects of their API. I am going to close this topic.
