A little help pls

Okay, i'm new to this forums. I have read some of the tutorials and i have read alot about the GCF section and Cracks/Launchers section. But I didn't understand how to hack steam. I have downloaded steam, downloaded different Launchers and no results. They just can't open.
I'll give a example...
I have downloaded GCFprep, installed it in a different folder not in the steam's folder and launched it. It says "The specified clientregistry.blob file could not be found". Help pls ?

I think you have to do it in the Steam folder, isnt that right?

Yes, I think so and now the other problem is... an error.
Could not find a part of the path "C:\Program Files\Steam\valvetestapp17540\steam.dll"
