Well, call me paranoid, but If you are messing around with Cafe stuff, you should never do it from the same IP as with your legitimate account. (and yes Delete CR.blob) I have managed to keep my legitimate account since I made it (4 years ago) by this method.

Forget all of that. What you should have done: Open the disk with windows explorer, right click on it and go to properties. Choose tools, and click "error checking" you would get a folder with a bunch of .CHK files, then use one of these: Recover CHK Files to recover the files.

Um, it's not so hard... there are already programs that convert an image to an ASCII equivalent. And "streaming over telnet"? more like displaying a page of text at once over telnet...
